McDaniel to battle for CC title

WESTMINSTER, Md. – McDaniel will travel to Swarthmore, Pa., in search of its first Centennial Conference (CC) women's soccer championship this weekend.

The third-seeded Green Terror (15-1-2, 7-1-2 CC) faces second-seeded Johns Hopkins (12-4-1, 8-2 CC) in Saturday's second semifinal at 4:30 p.m., or 60 minutes following the conclusion of the day's first semifinal.

That semifinal pits top-seeded Swarthmore (15-1-1, 9-0-1 CC) against the winner of the first-round game between fourth-seeded Gettysburg (10-2-5, 7-2-1) and fifth-seeded Ursinus (12-5, 7-3 CC). That game begins at 2 p.m.

The semifinal winners will advance to Sunday's championship game, which will begin at 2 p.m.

The tournament's champion will earn the CC's automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA Division III tournament, slated to begin on Nov. 14. The NCAA field will be announced on Monday at 1 p.m.

The Green Terror is seeking its first conference title. It is the second tournament appearance for McDaniel.
