GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Gettysburg won the first eight events to key a 118-62 win over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) women's swimming action on Wednesday.
Kelly Lewis (Montgomery Village, Md./Seneca Valley) led the Green Terror (0-3, 0-3 CC) with victories in the final two events. She won the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:09.03 and then anchored the 200 free relay to a time of 1:46.85. Shannon McClellan (Boonsboro, Md./Boonsboro), Elisa Santoni (Ellicott City, Md./McDonogh) and Maddie Gamble (Colora, Md./Rising Sun) joined Lewis on the relay.
Savannah Llewellyn and Paige Griesse led the Bullets (5-0, 3-0 CC) with two wins each. The duo joined with Inayah Sherry and Caroline Moyer to touch first in the 200 medley relay, opening the meet with a time of 1:52.51. Llewellyn also won the 100 backstroke (1:01.3) while Griesse won the 100 free (56.03 seconds).
Lewis joined Cara Dube (Milford, Conn./Joseph A. Foran), Samantha Smith (Bangkok, Thailand/International School of Bangkok) and Emily Gross (Red Lion, Pa./Red Lion) to finish second in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:54.71.
Smith was also third in the 200 free (2:06.39) and 100 backstroke (1:04.32).
McClellan was third in the 100 free with a time of 58.06 seconds while Bryn Blanchard (Germantown, Md./Seneca Valley) placed third in the 50 free with a time of 26.07.
The Green Terror returns to action at home against St. Mary's (Md.) on Friday. Meet time is 4 p.m.
