OPENING KICKOFF: Today's Centennial Conference (CC) game marks the 28th meeting between McDaniel (0-7, 0-6 CC) and Juniata (2-5, 1-5 CC) in a series that dates back to 1923. The Eagles have won the last three meetings, including by a 56-31 margin in Huntingdon last season to take a 14-12-1 lead in the all-time series. The Green Terror had won the previous three meetings, including 23-19 in Westminster in 2011.

WHEN LAST WE MET: Juniata scored twice in the game's first 3:56 en route to a 56-31 victory over McDaniel last season. Matty Callahan (Germantown, Md./Northwest) led the Green Terror with 387 yards passing, completing 28 of 43 attempts for the team's first 300-yard passing game since 2011. He also rushed for a team-high 68 yards. Ward Udinski paced the Eagles with 469 yards passing, completing 22 of 28 passes with five touchdowns. He also ran for 90 yards and two scores. Juniata finished the day with a 675-527 advantage in total yards.

LAST TIME OUT: Dickinson jumped out to a 15-0 lead en route to a 53-20 victory over McDaniel last Saturday. Tayahd Campbell (Silver Spring, Md./Blake) led the Green Terror with a career-best 176 yards rushing, including a 62-yard touchdown run. Billy Burger completed 13 of 19 passes for the Red Devils, throwing for 187 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran for 43 yards and a touchdown.

WITH HONORS: Tayahd Campbell and Marquise Findley-Smith (Baltimore, Md./Atholton) were named to their respective CC Weekly Honor Rolls last week. Koester was named to the offensive list after running for a career-best 176 yards that included a 62-yard touchdown scamper in the first quarter. Findley-Smith earned a spot on the special teams ledger after racking up 145 return years. He returned four kickoffs for 107 yards in addition to two punts for 38 yards.

LEADING THE WAY: Riley Johnson (Round Hill, Va./Woodgrove), Brandon Jones (Middle River, Md./Eastern Tech), Mike Oliveto (Robesonia, Pa./Conrad Weiser) and Matt Quattrone (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle Area) will captain the squad in 2015. This is the third straight year Oliveto has served as a captain while Jones is a two-time captain.

SACK LUNCH: Through seven games this season, McDaniel leads the conference with 25 sacks. The Green Terror defense recorded only two sacks last week – a season low. Prior to last week, McDaniel had gotten to the quarterback no fewer than three times in each of the first six games, including two five-sack games. Fifteen different players have been a part of at least one sack so far this season. Raymond Doh (Silver Spring, Md./Blake) leads the conference with 4.5 sacks this season while Andy Ullmann (Toms River, N.J./Monsignor Donovan) is tied for second with 4.0 sacks. Garvin Brooms (Olney, Md./Good Counsel) has 3.0 sacks in six games.

RUNNING WITH THE DEVIL: Tayahd Campbell broke his fourth touch of the game for a 62-yard run down the far sideline last Saturday for a touchdown. The long run keyed a career-high 176-yard rushing day by the sophomore tailback and was his second 100-yard rushing game after debuting with 111 yards at Catholic last season. Campbell also broke a 50-yard run up the middle. The two runs were the longest rushes of the season by the Green Terror. Prior to Saturday, the team's longest run was 26 yards. It also marked the first time since 2013 that McDaniel broke a run of 50 yards or longer.

TRIPLE THREAT: Each of the Green Terror's three primary tailbacks found the end zone on Saturday. In addition to Tayahd Campbell's 62-yard run in the first half, both Perry Stefanelli (Rockville, Md./Good Counsel) and Matt Cathey (Brick, N.J./Brick Memorial Regional) scored fourth-quarter touchdowns. On a drive where he accounted for 62 of the 64 yards, Stefanelli paid off an 11-play drive with a one-yard score early in the fourth quarter. Cathey found paydirt on McDaniel's next possession, scoring from 22 yards out.

MANY HAPPY RETURNS: Marquise Findley-Smith racked up a career-best 145 all-purpose yards last Saturday – without touching the ball on offense. The sophomore return man had four kickoff returns for 107 total yards. He had returns of 27 and 31 yards in the second half. Findley-Smith also returned punts for the first time in his career on Saturday, bringing a pair of punt back 38 yards.

WANNA BE LIKE MIKE: Mike Oliveto enters today's game needing just 172 yards to become the fifth player in program history to record 2,000 yards receiving for his career. With 147 career receptions, he is now just nine shy of Matt Cahill's program record. This year, he is averaging 60.6 yards per game.

HOME, SWEET HOME: The Green Terror is scoring an average of nearly 10 more points per game at home this season. McDaniel has scored just 37 points in its three road games (12.3 ppg) but is averaging 21.5 points per game at Gill Stadium in 2015. Saturday's 20 points were the most points scored in a road game this season. Conversely, the Green Terror defense is allowing nearly 10 points per game fewer at home. McDaniel is allowing an average of 47.0 points per game away from home and just 37.2 at home.

TERROR TIDBITS: Shane Douglass (Fort Washington, Md./Friendly) recorded his first two sacks last Saturday… Spencer Wiersburg (Salisbury, Md./J.M. Bennett) has made all five of his field-goal attempts this season – the only Division III kicker who is still perfect on the season. He is now 9-for-9 in his collegiate career after going 4-for-4 as a freshman… Britton Hastings (Shippensburg, Pa./Shippensburg Area) became the 17th different McDaniel player to record a reception with his nine-yard, third-quarter catch last Saturday.

COACHES' CORNER: Mike Hoyt is in his fourth season at the helm of the Green Terror with an overall record of 3-34, picking up his first win on Sept. 14, 2013 – a 21-14 victory over Moravian. In 2015, he serves as defensive coordinator for the first time at McDaniel. He spent the previous eight seasons as the defensive coordinator, culminating with being a finalist for the American Football Coaches Association Assistant Coach of the Year award in 2011. In his first season at Albright, his defense went from allowing an average of 235.4 yards per game to 175.1 yards per contest, helping to guide Albright to an ECAC South Atlantic championship. His tenure as defensive coordinator was marked specifically by stout run defense, ranking in the top half of the Middle Atlantic Conference in rush defense, total defense and scoring defense in four of his last five seasons. His 2008 defense led the conference and ranked 33rd nationally, allowing just 16.9 points per games and appeared in the ECAC South Central Bowl… Tim Launtz is in his fifth season at the helm of the Eagles, entering today with a record of 18-30. He became Juniata's 22nd head coach after serving 15 years on the staff, going 1-9 in his first season as the head man. In his third year, he guided the squad to a 7-3 regular-season record and ECAC Bowl appearance. He most recently served seven seasons as the Eagles' quarterbacks coach. Prior to that, he mentored the receiving corps, defensive backs and served as special teams coordinator from 1997-99. The Huntingdon native graduated from Juniata in 1980.

THE WORD ON JUNIATA: The Eagles enter today's game off a 41-35 double-overtime loss to Muhlenberg last Saturday. The Mules scored with 3:11 to play to force overtime… Hank Coyne went 28-for-44 through the air, throwing for 311 yards and five touchdowns. Aaron O'Brien and Kirby Breault each hauled in more than 100 receiving yards and multiple touchdowns. O'Brien caught nine passes for 141 yards, including three touchdowns while Breault hauled in 10 passes for 117 yards and two scores… Muhlenberg finished with a 520-418 advantage in total yards… The Eagles entered last week's game averaging just 14.0 points per game before exploding for a season-best point total. Juniata has scored seven or fewer points three times this year and 21 or more in the other four games… Coyne is currently third in the CC in passing yards per game, averaging 233.7 yards through the air. He is completing 52.1 percent (136-for-261) of his passes, which is the worst in the CC among quarterback with more than 75 attempts… Breault is third in the conference in receiving yards per game, averaging 86.0 yards per game. His five touchdowns ranks fourth… O'Brien, who also has five touchdown catches, is averaging 67.1 yards per game… The Eagles are averaging 233.9 yards per game through the air but have only been able to muster 92.6 yards per game on the ground… Matt Lehr leads the rushing attack with 59 carries for 245 yards while Deonte Alston has 244 yards on 77 carries. Lehr has the team's only two rushing scores… Ryan Bologa leads the defense with 62 tackles. He also has a sack, fumble recovery and interception.
