Box Score WESTMINSTER, Md. – McDaniel scored three times in the second half to defeat Marymount 4-0 in non-conference women's soccer action on Wednesday.
Paola Rosa (Laurel, Md./Reservoir) capped the day for the Green Terror (5-0-1) with her first collegiate tally in the game's 82nd minute.
Holly Wenger led the Saints (0-6-1) with five saves in goal.
After being taken down in the box, Julia Pope (Manchester, Md./North Carroll) converted a penalty kick into the lower-right corner for a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute.
In the 50th minute, Lindsey Keen (Salisbury, Md./Parkside) dribbled the ball up the field before playing a quick pass to her right, finding Meghan Sturgill (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill), who slid the ball past the keeper for a 2-0 lead.
In the 75th minute, Erica Diffendal (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) played a ball in from the top-left corner of the box that a Marymount defender got a foot on and kicked into the corner of the net for a 3-0 McDaniel lead.
Rosa knocked back in a rebound from short range off a Keen shot-and-save for the final margin.
The Green Terror, who have now held opponents off the scoreboard for the last 473:47, finished with advantages of 19-7 in shots and 8-1 in corner kicks.
McDaniel returns to action in the Centennial Conference opener at Muhlenberg on Saturday. Game time is 7 p.m.
