ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – St. Mary's (Md.) won eight events to key a 114-91 victory over McDaniel in non-conference women's swimming action on Saturday.
Syd Knadler (Crowley Lake, Calif./Mammoth) led the Green Terror (0-5) with three wins, including joining Cara Dube (Milford, Conn./Joseph A. Foran), Kelly Lewis (Montgomery Village, Md./Watkins Mills) and Samantha Smith (APO, AP, Thailand/International School of Bangkok) to open the meet with a victory in the 400 medley relay. The quartet turned in the No. 4 performance in program history with a time of 4:08.03.
Knadler also touched first in the 50 free with a time of 25.09 seconds and the 100 free with a time of 55.58.
Zoe McIlmail and Brooke Raab led the Seahawks (9-1) with two wins each. McIlmail won the 200 free (2:01.28) and 500 free (5:33.06) while Raab touched first in the 200 IM (2:15.35) and 200 breaststroke (2:31.26).
Lexie Jacobs (Forest Hill, Md./North Harford) placed second in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:18.32, which ranks sixth all-time in program history.
Jacobs and Smith finished second (2:19.96) and third (2:21.24), respectively, in the 200 IM.
Dube improved her No. 7 all-time time in the 200 backstroke by a tenth-second, finishing second in the event with a time of 2:17.84.
Lewis was second in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:32.42, improving her No. 7 all-time mark but a second and a half.
Becca Sykes (Collegeville, Pa./Methacton) placed third in the 1000, edging into the top 10 all-time with a time of 11:40.28.
The Green Terror returns to action at Towson on Saturday, Jan. 10. Meet time is 1 p.m.
