Quinn tallies first-half marker to key win

Box Score

WESTMINSTER, Md. – A first-half goal proved to be all McDaniel needed in a 3-0 win over Washington (Md.) in Centennial Conference (CC) women's soccer action on Saturday.

Maggie Quinn (Crofton, Md./Archbishop Spalding) scored in the 15th minute to lead the Green Terror (9-5-4, 3-4-3 CC), who snapped a four-game winless streak in the regular-season finale.

Melissa Berry led the Shorewomen (3-11-3, 0-7-2 CC) with eight saves in goal.

After the Quinn unassisted tally, Christina Wroblewski (Glen Mills, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) stretched the lead to 2-0 with an unassisted tally of her own in the 67th minute.

Kristin Upton (Chalfont, Pa./Central Bucks South) finished a feed from Erica Diffendal (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) with 25 seconds to play.

Sarah McDonald (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) finished with two saves for the shutout in goal.

McDaniel will now have to wait until Monday, Nov. 10 to see if it qualifies for the ECAC tournament.
