HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Pikeville swept doubles play en route to an 8-1 victory over McDaniel in non-conference men's tennis action on Thursday.

Tom Orrok (Point Pleasant, N.J./Point Pleasant) led the Green Terror (2-4) with a straight-set victory at fifth singles, winning, 7-5, 6-4.

Luis Lerchundi paced the Bears with two wins, including teaming with Gonzalo Garcia for an 8-0 win at third doubles. Lerchundi completed his two-win day with a 7-5, 6-1 win at sixth singles.

Miguel Perez added a 6-0, 6-0 win at fourth singles as part of his two-win day.

The Green Terror opens the Centennial Conference schedule at Washington (Md.) on Saturday. Match time is 1 p.m.
