Xinis wins twice

WESTMINSTER, Md. - Haverford won the first five singles matches to secure a 7-2 Centennial Conference (CC) men's tennis victory over McDaniel on Sunday.

Daniel Xinis (Owings, Md./Northern) led the Green Terror (5-5, 0-4 CC) with a pair of victories.

Jacob Weienthal paced the Fords (6-4, 3-1 CC) with two wins, including a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 1 singles. He also teamed with Matthew Cebul to take first doubles, 8-5.

Xinis teamed with Seth McFall (Dover, Del./Caesar Rodney) too win third doubles 9-7 before Xinis prevailed at sixth singles, 6-2, 6-1.

Cebul won second singles for the Fords 6-2, 6-2 to round out his two-win day.

Sloan Millman and Joshua Lederman also won twice, partnering for an 8-2 win at No. 2 doubles. Millman took third singles 6-3, 6-2 while Lederman took fifth singles, 6-4, 6-3.

The Green Terror returns to action at Swarthmore on Tuesday. Match time is 4 p.m.
