Ten different players score

BRYN MAWR, Pa. – Ten different players scored for McDaniel, including five with multiple-goal days, in an 18-2 victory over Bryn Mawr in the Centennial Conference (CC) women's lacrosse opener for both teams on Saturday.

Danielle Entrot (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) registered a career-high six points to lead the Green Terror (2-3, 1-0 CC), adding four goals and two assists. The freshman leads the team in scoring with 17 goals and 20 points.

Natalie Chrismer and Zoe Fisher scored for the Owls (1-1, 0-1 CC), who got nine saves from Kate Fleming in goal.

Paige Messersmith (Phoenix, Md./Dulaney) staked McDaniel to a 1-0 lead, finishing a solo run just 57 seconds into the game.

Just 29 seconds later, Bridget Bopst (Westminster, Md./South Carroll) recorded the first of her three assists, finding Entrot for a 2-0 advantage.

Mary Tokolish (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) converted a free-position shot with 26:18 to play for the first part of her second career hat trick.

Bopst hit Messersmith to stretch the lead to 4-0 before 4:49 had elapsed.

A Fisher free-position goal broke up the shutout with 22:57 to play before McDaniel responded with another 3-0 run.

Anna Beaudry (Amherst, Mass./Amherst Regional) found Steph Nichols (Wilmington, Del./St. Mark's) for the senior's fourth career goal with 19:59 showing.

Two Entrot goals – and unassisted marker and one from Bopst – 3:02 apart stretched the lead to 7-1 with 15:54 remaining.

Chrismer finished a solo run with 14:53 to play before McDaniel tallied the final six goals of the half and 11 of the game.

Entrot capped her four-goal day, finishing a Messersmith assist with 12:11 to play before Messersmith found Katie Timmons (Bishopville, Md./Stephen Decatur) with 7:44 showing.

Kaitlin Mahoney (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y./Comsewogue) and Beaudry tallied unassisted goals 20 seconds apart for an 11-2 lead with 6:23 on the clock.

Tokolish and Danielle DeColli (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) rounded out the first-half scoring.

Beaudry tallied 1:46 into the second half before Mallory Michel (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) recorded her first career goal with 24:50 to play.

Michel added an assist just over three minutes later, finding Tokolish for her third of the game.

Bopst and Michel rounded out the scoring, tallying off Entrot helpers.

McDaniel finished with a 31-14 advantage in shots. Lily Galzerano (Newburyport, Mass./Newburyport) made eight saves in her collegiate debut between the pipes.

The Green Terror returns to action against Denison in Hilton Head, S.C. on Tuesday. Game time is 2 p.m.
