WESTMINSTER, Md. – McDaniel scored twice in a 3-minute, 38-second span to key a 3-1 non-conference women's soccer victory over Juniata on Monday.

Julia Pope (Manchester, Md./North Carroll) found the back of the net 32:35 into the contest for the Green Terror (5-4-1), breaking a scoreless drought of 437 minutes, 17 seconds.

Lauren Licouras tallied for the Eagles (6-4-1) in the 74th minute.

Kristin Hart (Saylorsburg, Pa./Pleasant Valley) played a long ball from McDaniel's side of midfield in the 33rd minute that Pope corralled and dribbled in, beating the defense and the keeper for the team's first goal from the field in more than 563 minutes.

For Hart, a sophomore defender, it was her first collegiate point.

Erica Diffendal (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) took a free kick in the 37th minute from approximately 25 yards out on the left side. The sophomore knocked the ball off the crossbar and straight down for her first tally of the season.

Allie Sokolik (Mahwah, N.J./Mahwah) served a ball from the left wing that Maggie Quinn (Crofton, Md./Archbishop Spalding) collected on the backside post and put into the net at the 66:01 mark.

Licouras played a ball off a McDaniel defender right back in to break up the shutout with 16:41 to play.

Jan Woolley (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) made seven saves for the Green Terror, who finished with a  slim 17-14 advantage in shots.

Kristin Twardowski had five saves for Juniata.

McDaniel returns to action at home against Dickinson on Wednesday. Game time is 4 p.m.
