Kron wins second singles, 6-0, 6-0

WESTMINSTER, Md. – McDaniel took the top two doubles flights and top five singles flights to defeat Lancaster Bible 7-2 in non-conference men's tennis action on Wednesday.

Brian Kron (Upperco, Md./North Carroll) completed a 2-0 day for the Green Terror (1-1) with a 6-0, 6-0 win at second singles. Kron teamed with Matthew Langsdale (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) for an 8-1 victory at No. 2 doubles.

Collin George led the Chargers (0-2) in singles with a 6-3, 6-5 win at sixth singles. Alex Derus and Dan Soden partnered for a 9-8 victory at No. 3 doubles, winning the tiebreaker, 7-3.

Langsdale completed a 2-0 day of his own with a 6-3, 6-1 win at third singles.

Steve French (New Windsor, Md./Francis Scott Key) and Chad Palman (Montgomery Village, Md./Gaithersburg), who paired for an 8-1 win at first doubles, completed 2-0 days with victories at No. 1 and No. 3 singles, respectively. French won 6-1, 6-1 while Palman was victorious, 6-2, 6-0.

Daniel Xinis (Owings, Md./Calvert) rounded out the McDaniel winners with a 6-1, 6-3 victory at fifth singles.

The Green Terror returns to action at home against Hood on Friday. Match time is 3:30 p.m.
