Bullets sweep singles in straight sets after winning all three
doubles
GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Mike McLaughlin capped
a two-win day with a 6-0, 6-0 win at fourth singles to lead
Gettysburg to a 9-0 win over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC)
men's tennis action on Thursday.
The Bullets (6-3, 1-1 CC) swept doubles before winning all six
singles matches in straight sets.
McLaughlin teamed with Juri Jacoby for an 8-1
win at third doubles.
Kevin Raynes added a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 6
singles.
Ben Faber (Wayne, Pa./Conestoga) led the Green
Terror (1-5, 0-3 CC), falling at first singles to Chris
Curran 6-2, 6-2 after teaming with Dan Hovorka
(Storrs, Conn./E.O. Smith) to drop a close 8-6 decision at
first doubles.
McDaniel returns to action at Stevenson on Friday. Match time is
3 p.m.
