Garnet opens its conference schedule with win
WESTMINSTER, Md. – Taylor Chen did not
drop a point in a pair of victories to lead Swarthmore to a 9-0 win
over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) men's tennis
action on Saturday.
The Garnet (2-5, 1-0 CC) swept doubles before winning all six
singles matches in straight sets.
Chen led the way with a 6-0, 6-0 win at sixth singles after
teaming with James Wieler for an 8-0 win at third
doubles.
Ben Faber (Wayne, Pa./Conestoga) led the Green
Terror (0-4, 0-2 CC), falling at first singles to Malikm
Mubeen, 6-2, 6-4.
McDaniel returns to action at Shepherd on Monday. Match time is
3 p.m.
