Mules open conference slate with 9-0 win
ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Zach Adler recorded a
pair of wins, including a 6-0, 6-0 victory at third singles to lead
Muhlenberg to a 9-0 win over McDaniel in the Centennial Conference
(CC) men's tennis opener for both teams on Saturday.
The Mules (2-1, 1-0 CC) won each of the six singles matches in
straight sets to hand the Green Terror (0-3, 0-1 CC) a loss in its
spring opener.
Adler teamed with Jordan Rutt for an 8-5 win at
first doubles. Rutt added a 6-4, 6-2 win at first singles.
Mark Apostolos and Ari
Nutovits added 6-0, 6-0 wins at fifth and sixth singles,
respectively.
McDaniel returns to action at Hood on Monday. Match time is 3
p.m.
