WESTMINSTER, Md. - Brittany Baer (Manchester, Md./Westminster) netted the first two goals of the game en route to a hat trick, leading McDaniel to a 15-3 victory over Lycoming in the women's lacrosse opener for both teams on Saturday.

Goals from Erinn Hopkins (Monrovia, Md./Urbana) and Chelsea Watkins (Columbia, Md./Hammond) stretched the lead to 6-0 before two Paige Messersmith (Phoenix, Md./Dulaney) markers fewer than two minutes apart made it 8-0 with 8:52 to play in the opening half.

Lines finished a Messersmith helper 2:56 into the second half to stretch the lead to 11-0 before Calbi broke up the shutout.
