Blue Jays win final relay to secure meet
ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - Lindsay Riley capped a
two-win outing by anchoring the 200 freestyle relay that led
Elizabethtown to a 105-90 victory over McDaniel in non-conference
women's swimming action on Wednesday.
Jessica Fry (St. Mary's, Ga./Camden County) won
three times for the Green Terror (1-7), who touched first in seven
of the nine individual events.
The Blue Jays (5-6) won both relays coupled with Riley's win in
the 50 free and Courtney Kelly's victory in the
200 backstroke to take the meet.
Fry won the 1000 freestyle (11:05.12), 200 IM (2:23.24) and 500
free (5:27.28).
Alyssa Romasco (Gilbertsville, Pa./Perkiomen)
was a double winner, touching first in the 200 free (2:09.00) and
200 butterfly (2:32.34) while Rachel Walega (Ambler,
Pa./Wissahickon) also won twice, taking first in the 100
free (58.21) and 200 breaststroke (2:34.98).
The Green Terror returns to action at Bryn Mawr on Saturday.
