WESTMINSTER, Md. – Josh Hollaman
completed his two-win day with a 6-2, 6-2 victory at fifth singles
to secure a 5-4 win for Ursinus over McDaniel in Centennial
Conference (CC) men's tennis action on Saturday.
The Bears (4-13, 1-8 CC) took two of the three doubles matches
before splitting singles with the Green Terror (4-11, 0-9 CC) to
earn their first conference win of the season in the finale for
both teams.
Dan Hovorka (Storrs, Conn./E.O. Smith) and
Ben Faber (Wayne, Pa./Conestoga) each won twice
for McDaniel, teaming for an 8-4 win at first doubles. Hovorka won
6-2, 6-3 at first singles while Faber was a 6-0, 6-0 victor at No.
2.
Justin Ward rounded out McDaniel winners, taking
fourth singles, 6-0, 1-6, 6-3.
