WESTMINSTER, Md. – Doug Murray won
three times to lead Dickinson to a 72-23 victory over McDaniel in
Centennial Conference (CC) men's swimming action on
Saturday.
The Red Devils (5-0, 2-0 CC) also got two wins apiece from
Nathan Supp, Tristan White and
Andrew Wade.
Stephen Gomez (Charlottesville, Va./Albermmarle)
paced the Green Terror men (1-4, 0-4 CC) with two victories.
The Dickinson women (6-0, 3-0 CC) also defeated McDaniel (0-5, 0-4
CC), 63-31.
Murray teamed with Jordan Reed, White and Supp to
open the meet with a victory in the 200 medley relay with a
combined time of 1:43.81.
Murray added an individual win in the 50 free (21.70) before
teaming with Wade, Tyler Derreth and
Satchel Ryan to close the meet with a victory in
the 200 free relay (1:30.93).
Supp's individual victory came in the 200 free (1:52.33)
while Wade and White touched first in the 100 freestyle (50.17) and
100 backstroke (58.28), respectively.
Gomez touched first in the two distance races with times of
10:44.90 (1000 free) and 5:10.55 (500), respectively, for the Green
Terror's lone victories.
For the women, Elizabeth Schroll was a triple
winner for Dickinson. A part of both winning relays, she also
touched first in the 100 free with a time of 55.22.
Jessica Hassinger also won three times, joining
Schroll on the relays and adding a victory in the 50 free with a
time of 25.44. Serena Gibney won twice, touching
first in the 100 back (1:03.01) to go with a victory in the 200
free relay.
Jessica Fry (St. Mary's, Ga./Camden County)
and Rachel Walega (Ambler, Pa./Wissahickon)
notched the lone victories for McDaniel. Fry touched first in the
1000 free with a time of 11:19.03 while Walega was victorious in
the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:13.89.
McDaniel returns to action at home against Susquehanna on Saturday.
