OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Stephanie Eyler
recorded a goal and two assists to lead Stevenson to a 4-1 victory
over McDaniel in non-conference women's soccer action on
Wednesday.
Jackie Kahler (Clarksville, Md./River Hill) scored
the lone goal for the Green Terror (2-4), who were outshot by the
Mustangs (5-2-1) by a 29-9 margin on the afternoon.
Just 3:16 into the contest, Kim Moxley finished
the first of Eyler's two helpers to stake the hosts to a 1-0
lead.
With 5:15 remaining before halftime, Tonia
Cristino converted the second Eyler assist to double the
lead.
Katie Decker connected with Allison
Humphries thee minutes later to make it a 3-0 game at the
intermission.
In the 76th minute, Kahler converted a penalty kick to
trim the deficit to 3-1 before Eyler tallied three minutes later to
set the final margin.
Leanne Hollinger (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill)
made 11 saves for McDaniel while Brittany Ross and
Michelle McConnell made one stop apiece for
Stevenson.
The Green Terror opens the Centennial Conference schedule at home
against Muhlenberg on Saturday. Game time is 3 p.m.
