ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. - Sophomore Chase Oatman carded an 82 to lead the McDaniel College men's golf team in the first round of the McDaniel Spring Invitational on Saturday at The Bridges Golf Club.

The Green Terror currently sit in seventh place after totaling a 334. Salisbury is in first place after 18 holes at 306, nine strokes ahead of second-place Goucher. Three strokes separate second through fourth place with Hobart in third at 317 and Stevenson in fourth at 318.

Oatman is currently in a six-way tie for 19th after carding 10 pars, including six on the back nine. Salisbury's Ryan Henneman holds the lead after shooting an even-par 72.

Sophomore Jack Manfre, sophomore JT Krynock, and first-year Keagan Graves are currently in an eight-way tie for 26th as each carded an 84. Manfre had eight pars and one birdie while Krynock had 10 pars, including six in-a-row on the back nine. Graves had seven pars.

Sophomore Sam Telljohann is in a tie for 45th after shooting 90.
