WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Senior
Charlie Dolan shot a 3-under par 69 to lead the McDaniel College men's golf team in the final round of The Ruckus at Williamsburg National Golf Club on Sunday.
The Green Terror finished third with a two-day total of 589, just one stroke behind second-place Salisbury and seven behind Drew who won the team title with a 582. McDaniel totaled a 289 on Sunday's which was the best final round score among the 11 teams, one better than Drew.
Dolan also finished with a two-day total of 142, only one stroke behind Gunner Redmond of Penn College in second and two back of individual winner, Elliot Parker of Drew.
Dolan finished with five birdies and 11 pars in the final round, shooting 1-under on the front nine and 2-under on the back. He was 1-under par through 13 holes before he birdied three of the final holes. He had a chance to tie the lead or second place, but bogeyed the par-4, 446-yard 18th hole.
First-year
Dylan Muso finished in a two-way tie for eighth with Salisbury's Alex Langford after both totaled a 146 for 36 holes. Muso carded a 2-under par 70 on Sunday, finishing with six birdies and eight pars. He was even par through nine before totaling four birdies, three pars, and two bogeys on the back nine.
Senior
Sean Kelly began the day in a tie for 27th after a 6-over par 78 in Saturday's opening round, but improved 11 spots to finish in a three-way tie for 16th with a 150 after shooting an even par 72 on Sunday. He shot a 3-over par 39 on the front nine before carding a 3-under par 33 on the back with three birdies and six pars.
Sophomore
Braden Paris finished in a three-way tie for 23rd at 153 following a 6-over par 78 on Sunday. Senior
Ethan Crabb was right behind in a two-way tie for 26th at 155 after a 7-over par 79.
McDaniel returns to action with two events this week as the B team will compete in the Stevenson Individual Tournament at The Timbers at Troy Golf Course on Wednesday before the B team hosts the McDaniel Spring Invitational at The Bridges Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday.
