BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Graduate student Nick Raumann placed fifth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase as the McDaniel College outdoor men's track & field team opened its season on day one of the Doc Jopson Invitational hosted by Bridgewater College. 

Raumann placed fifth with a Centennial Conference qualifying time of 10:18.69.

Sophomore Jamey Travers placed 15th in the discus with a mark 31.46m (103' 2.5") while junior AJ Iglesias placed 16th with a throw of 31.29m (102' 7.75"). Senior Jayden Rodwell placed 26th with a mark of 27.61m (90' 7").

Travers also placed 17th in the javelin with a mark of 28.46m (93' 4.25").
