Thomas Monn won his third-straight conference championship at 149 pounds to lead the McDaniel College men's wrestling team at the 2025 Centennial Conference Wrestling Championship Saturday.

Xavier Howard won at 157 pounds for the second-straight year while senior
Val Pryor captured his first conference championship, winning the title at 197 pounds.
Merchant Marine claimed its fifth team title and first since 2011 with 82.0 points, edging out second-place Ursinus by 1.5 points.
McDaniel and Merchant Marine led the way with three individual champions. The Green Terror have had 54 conference champions, the second-most all-time behind the 63 from Ursinus.
Monn was named Most Outstanding Performer for the second year in-a-row, posting two convincing wins to become the eighth wrestler in program history to win at least three individual championships. After a first-round bye, Monn quickly dispatched of Ursinus' Max Parnis by fall in 1:40. Parnis, who finished third, is ranked fifth in Region 3.
Monn faced off against Ethan Composto from host Gettysburg in the final for the second time in as many weeks. Ranked 10th nationally and tops in Region 3, Monn posted an 11-1 major decision over Composto who is ranked 15th nationally and third in Region 3. Monn defeated Composto by the same score on Feb. 6 in a dual match in Westminster.
Howard also received a first-round bye before recording a second-period tech fall over Muhlenberg's Trey Miletics, 19-3. Howard then edged out a 7-3 decision over Gavin Pascoe of Gettysburg in the final. Howard, ranked fourth in Region 3, secured a 6-3 win in sudden victory over Pascoe on Feb. 6.
Pryor posted three wins to secure his first conference championship, including two against regionally-ranked competition. He started his day with an 8-2 decision against Connor Fritsch of Ursinus before sneaking out a 3-2 win over Muhlenberg's Paul Parise, the sixth-ranked wrestler in Region 3.
Pryor then faced fourth-ranked Grant Mathias of Merchant Marine in the final, earning his third hard-fought decision with a 6-3 victory.
McDaniel had six place winners and four medalists. In addition to three conference champions, junior
Andre Allen finished third at 165 pounds. He also posted three wins on the day with his only loss coming to conference champion Justin Richey of Gettysburg who is ranked sixth in Region 3. Allen began the day with a 7-6 decision over Merchant Marine's Austin Manning before he was pinned by Richey in the semifinals with one second remaining in the third period.
Allen rebounded with a 10-8 decision over Muhlenberg's Chris Sockler in the consolation semifinals before posting his second win over Manning with a 15-5 major decision in the third-place match.
Senior
Alex DuFour and junior
Romeo Tsai each finished fourth at 125 and 133 pounds, respectively. DuFour, ranked fourth in Region 3, fell to conference champion and the seventh-ranked Joey Lamparelli of Muhlenberg in the semifinals before falling to Gettysburg's Noah Hinkel in the third-place match, 4-3.
Tsai, ranked seventh in Region 3, posted a 19-8 major decision over Johns Hopkins' Duncan Stadler in the first round before falling to sixth-ranked and conference champion Wesley Wydick of Merchant Marine in the semifinals. Tsai recorded a fall in 4:11 over Kyle Collins of Gettysburg in the consolation semifinals before losing to Ursinus' Michael Adams in the third-place match.
The Green Terror return to action next Saturday, Feb. 22 at the Mideast Futures Tournament hosted by The College of New Jersey. The NCAA Mideast Regional begins on Frirday, Feb. 28.
