GLENSIDE, Pa. - Sophomore Taylor Mead highlighted four double winners as the McDaniel College women's wrestling team posted back-to-back wins over Arcadia and Alvernia Sunday.

The Green Terror (2-0) picked up the second and third wins in program history after posting the program's first-ever win at Randolph on Dec. 5, 2024.

Mead won two matches on Sunday and was joined by first-years Ariana Carnahan, Morgan Linton, and Kaia Condon as two-time winners. Condon had two falls, Mead and Linton each had a fall and tech fall, and Carnahan had two tech falls.

McDaniel 32, Arcadia 16

McDaniel began the day with a 32-16 victory over the host Knights in the home team's first-ever dual match. Each team won two of the first four matches with Arcadia holding a slim 11-9 lead.

However, two-straight forfeits at 131 and 138 pounds, followed with a win by technical superiority by Mead gave the Green Terror a commanding 23-12 lead with three matches remaining.

Arcadia (0-2) earned a win by technical superiority at 160 pounds before Linton and Condon sealed the win for McDaniel with a 10-0 win and a fall, respectively.

McDaniel 29, Alvernia 21

The Golden Wolves, in their fourth season, jumped out to a 16-9 lead after wins in three of the first five matches. Back-to-back falls by Mead and first-year Liana Samuel put the Green Terror in front by three, but a fall at 160 pounds gave the lead back to Alvernia, 21-19.

With two matches remaining, falls by Linton and Condon secured the eight-point victory for the visitors.

Samuel also had two wins, including one by forfeit in the opener.

McDaniel returns to action next Sunday, Nov. 16 at the Wilkes Open.
