PRINCETON, N.J. - First-year
Ariana Carnahan totaled three wins to lead the McDaniel College women's wrestling team who opened its second collegiate season on Sunday at the Princeton Open hosted by Princeton University.
Carnahan posted a 3-2 record at 117 pounds in her first career event, totaling all three wins by technical superiority. She won her first collegiate match with a 10-0 win in 1:44 over Fenna Van Der Velden of New England College before falling to Clare Booe of West Point Prep who went on two win the 117-point individual title with a 5-0 record.
Carnahan then tallied back-to-back wins over Delaware Valley's Taylor Mazzoni, 10-0 in 47 seconds and Rutgers' Aman Cheema, 11-1 in 4:04.
First-year
Madison Rich had two wins at 131 pounds, including one by technical superiority and one by fall. She began with a loss to Ursinus' Stacy Bloomfield who is ranked fifth in region 2 and went on to finish third before responding with two-straight wins over Taylor Bloom of Lock Haven and Silvana Salas of Felician.
Sophomore
Taylor Mead, ranked fourth in region 3 at 145 pounds, opened second season with a win by technical superiority over Samantha Goworek of Cedar Crest, 16-4 in 3:41. Mead then fell to Western New England's Rylee Donohue and Madison Dowd, both of whom advanced to the consolation quarterfinals.
Sophomore
Willow Arnold, ranked fifth in region 3 at 160 pounds, dropped both of her matches to Emory & Henry's Rihanna Carson and Western New England's Alicia Tucker. Tucker went on to finish fourth, losing to teammate Sky De Leon in the third-place match.
First-years

Morgan Linton (180), and
Kaia Condon (207) each picked up their first career wins on Sunday.
The Green Terror return to action next Sunday, Nov. 9 with a tri-match at Arcadia against the Knights and Alvernia beginning at noon.
