Thomas Monn won the 149-pound title while senior
Kaden Bryan finished third at heavyweight to highlight competition for the McDaniel College men's wrestling team on Saturday at the Wilkes Invitational.
The Green Terror finished fifth out of 10 teams, totaling 103 points, just half a point behind No. 12 Elizabethtown who they upset in a dual match last Saturday.
Led by Monn and Bryan, McDaniel had six place winners.
Monn remained unbeaten in 11 matches this season, winning his second out of two tournament titles. He went 4-0 on Saturday with three more bonus point wins. He is now 10-0 in tournaments this season with nine bonus point wins.
Monn began his day with a fall in just 26 seconds over Spencer Maja of Brockport before recording a fall in 4:54 over Brockport's Chuck Loucks. He then posted a 15-3 major decision against Ben Grater of Wilkes in the semifinals and secured his 13th tournament title with a 5-1 decision versus Michael Williams and Misericordia.
At heavyweight, Bryan improved to 7-3 this season with three wins, all of which came by fall. He opened with a fall in 4:04 over Michael Troupe of Albright before pinning Wilkes' Christopher DellaBella in just 1:08. Bryan fell to Mike Welsh of Brockport in the semifinals, but rebounded to pin Albright's Joseph Gassert in just 49 seconds.

Zeke Gayle finished sixth at heavyweight, totaling a 3-2 record.
Reigning Centennial Conference Wrestler of the Week, first-year
Branden Whyte-Taylor, finished sixth at 125 pounds, posting a 4-2 record with two falls and one tech fall. After dropping his opening match to Oneonta's Tristan Hinchcliff, he won four consecutive matches to advance to the fifth-place match.
First-year
Andrew Yuen advanced to the fifth-place match, totaling a 5-1 record at 133 pounds with a fall, tech fall, and two major decisions. He began with a fall in only 53 seconds over Brockport's Braiden Salter before falling to the fourth-ranked wrestler in region 3, Corey Cope of Elizabethtown.
However, Yuen responded with four consecutive wins before reaching his six-match limit prior to the fifth-place match.
At 141 pounds, first-year
Andrew Dolezel also went 5-1 to reach his six-match limit prior to the fifth-place match. He totaled three falls, one tech fall, and one major decision. Two of his wins came against McDaniel teammates, sophomoreÂ

Andre Allen went 4-2 at 157 pounds with four bonus point wins as he totaled two tech falls, one fall, and one major decision. After falling to Albright's Trent Mahoney in the opener, he won four-straight matches, including a fall against Chase Stephen of Misericordia with just two seconds remaining in the match.

Lucas Ibacache had two wins at 157.
First-year
AJ Kuntz totaled three wins at 165 pounds, posting a 3-2 record with one loss coming to the fifth-ranked wrestler in region 2, Colton Thorpe of Wilkes.

Avery Cummings had two wins at 174 pounds while junior
Alex Taylor had two at 184.
McDaniel makes it home debut next Sunday, Nov. 23 in the Sam Case Classic against No. 20 Lycoming beginning at 2:30 p.m.
