HAGERSTOWN, Md. - McDaniel College women's track & field sophomore Sophia Leone broke her own program record in the pole vault at the Larry Sharpe Invitational hosted by Hagerstown Community College on Friday.

The meet was not scored.

Leone broke her own program record for the second week in-a-row by jumping 3.05m (10' 0") to place second.

Junior Summer James placed fourth with a mark of 2.45m (8' 0.5") while Junior Kate Principio jumped 2.30m (7' 6.5") to place seventh. James and Principio qualified for the 2025 Centennial Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships. Freshman Tara Hornung placed eighth jumping with a mark of 2.15m (7' 0.5").

Freshman Nakayla Ross placed second in the 55-meter dash with a time of 7.79 seconds. She also placed fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 29.97 seconds. Principio placed 10th in 32.44 seconds.

Sophomore Kaitlyn Bard placed second in the 400 meters with a time of 1:10.10.

Hornung placed second in high jump with a mark of 1.32m (4' 4") while Leone placed third, jumping 1.22m (4').

Sophomore Maya Colavito finished second in the 3,000 meters in 12:36.48 and junior Natalie Kaminsky placed third in 13:33.39.

Freshman Dakota Benson placed third in the shot put with a throw of 7.67m (25' 2"). Graduate student Samantha Vogel was sixth with a throw of 7.06m (23' 2").

Junior Arianna Lowengrub placed fifth in the mile with a time of 7:50.22. Junior Abby Warner placed sixth in the 800 meters with a time of 3:12.25 while Lowengrub was 10th in 3:18.98.

The Green Terror will return to action on Saturday, Feb. 8 at the Blue & White Invitational hosted by Franklin & Marshall.
