Geniti Sets Pole Vault Personal Best at Final Qualifier

CHESTER, Pa. - McDaniel College men's track & field senior John Geniti posted a personal-best mark in the pole vault at the Widener Final Qualifier on Monday.

There were no team scores. 

Geniti finished fifth in the pole vault with an outdoor personal best of 13-feet, 7.25-inches. The mark is the second-best in outdoor program history and the fifth best overall, both indoor and outdoor.

Senior Chett Brunner finished fifth in the shot put with a throw of 49-feet, 3.25-inches. He also placed 14th in the discus with a mark of 134-feet, 7-inches.

Meanwhile, senior Nick Raumann ran 15:53.22 in the 5,000 meters.

Selections for the 2024 Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be announced on Friday, May 17. The top 22 declared student-athletes for individual events and 16 declared relay teams will be selected.
