WASHINGTON, D.C. - McDaniel College men's outdoor track & field senior John Geniti and senior Nick Raumann each posted first-place finishes wins at the Bison Classic hosted at Gallaudet University on Saturday.
There were no team scores.
Geniti and senior Jack McBride took first and second in the pole vault with marks of 12-9.50 and 11-1.75, respectively.
Raumann crossed the line first in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:11.28.
Junior Keiron Wilson placed second in the high jump with a mark of 5-8.75 while also taking second in the triple jump with a mark of 43-5.75.
Senior Tyren Proctor placed second in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.02 seconds. Senior Kyle Hubbard took ninth in 17.26 seconds and freshman Roman Arensmeyer turned in a personal-best of 17.71 seconds.
Hubbard took second in the 400-meter hurdles at 1:01.63 while Arensmeyer was third in 1:07.86.
Senior Chett Brunner placed second in the shot put with a throw of 47-1.50 and senior Jake Conklin placed sixth with a throw of 37-1.25. Sophomore Jayden Rodwell placed seventh at 37-0.25 with freshman Jacob Gibson coming in 10th at 32-0.75. Freshman Jamey Travers placed 13th.
The 4x400-meter rely team of freshman Braylon Johnson, junior Anders Madsen, sophomore Jack Sears, and senior Tyler Richardson placed second with a time of 3:36.16.
Junior Jacob Graham placed third in the hammer throw with a personal best of 131-7 while Conklin placed sixth with a mark of 102-2. Travers placed eight with a throw of 97-11 and Gibson followed with a throw of 95-10.
Madsen placed third in the 800 meters with a time of 1:58.44 and Sears placed eighth in 2:00.03. Richardson placed ninth in 2:00.55 and freshman Jack Reiser followed in 10th at 2:01.10. Senior Braden Fink placed 13th and sophomore Simon Greenberg placed 15th.
Sears placed fourth in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:17.49 and junior Sean Irwin ran a personal-best 4:37.08 to place sixth. Freshman Fabrizzio Verano Valderrama placed eighth with a personal-best time of 4:51.30 and junior Joc Baldacci placed 12th.
Baldacci later took fourth in the 5,000 meters with a personal best of 18:26.30.
Conklin took fourth in the javelin with a throw of 128-2 and Travers finished 15th.
The 4x100-meter relay team of Hubbard, Keiron Wilson, freshman Tarik Jones and junior Oral-Anthony Coleman placed fourth with a time of 44.86 seconds.
Coleman placed sixth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.24 seconds. Jones placed 19th, freshman Josh Codrington came in 20th and freshman Chris Wilson placed 23rd.
Keiron Wilson placed seventh in the long jump with a mark of 19-6.25 with Chris Wilson placing 14th.
Johnson ran a personal best in the 400 meters with a time of 53.86 seconds to place eighth while Coleman placed 12th.
Coleman placed ninth in the 200 meters with a time of 23.03 seconds. Johnson finished 19th, Codrington placed 22nd and Chris Wilson placed 25th.
The Green Terror will be back in action on Friday, April 12 at the Messiah Multis hosted by Messiah University.
