ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - McDaniel College men's track & field senior Nick Raumann and junior Oral-Anthony Coleman led the team at the Blue Jay Tune-Up hosted by Elizabethtown on Saturday.
The Green Terror finished first out of 14 teams with 135 points. Elizabethtown took second with 123 points. Coleman scored 24 points.
Raumann won the 5,000 meters with a time of 15:38.79 winning by over one minute. He now sits fifth in program history in the event. Junior Joc Baldacci finished seventh in 18:17.78.Â
Coleman won the 200 meters with a time of 22.62 seconds while senior Kyle Silver ran 24.20 seconds to place 13th. Freshman Braylon Johnson placed 17th.
Coleman placed third in the long jump with a mark of 20-3. Junior Keiron Wilson placed seventh at 18-feet, 8.5-inches and sophomore Christian Taylor placed ninth with a jump of 18-feet, 6-inches. Freshman Chris Wilson placed 11th, freshman Josh Codrington placed 14th, Johnson followed in 15th, and senior DaVaughn Joyner placed 17th.
Coleman also placed third in the 100 meters in a time of 11.22 seconds after running a time of 11.07 seconds in the prelims.
Sophomore Jack Reiser won the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:03.28, the ninth-fastest time in program history. Junior Anders Madsen ran 4:06.20 to place seventh.
Senior Chett Brunner won the shot put with a throw of 49-feet, 7.75-inches to move into fourth in program history. Junior Jacob Graham placed 14th with a throw of 35-feet, 9.5-inches while senior Jake Conklin threw 35-feet, 3.25-inches to place 16th. Freshman Jacob Gibson placed 17th.
Brunner also won the discus with a mark of 133-feet, 5-inches while Graham placed fifth with a throw of 118-feet, 8-inches. Travers placed seventh with a mark of 115-feet, 8-inches and Conklin placed 11th at 107-feet, 8-inches. Sophomore AJ Iglesias placed 18th with a throw of 97-feet, 4-inches.Â
Senior Kyle Hubbard won the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.32 seconds while freshman Roman Arensmeyer placed fourth in a time of 17.82 seconds.
Senior Tyler Richardson won the 400 meters with a time of 52.14 seconds and senior Braden Fink finished eighth in 55.92 seconds. Joyner came in 19th at 1:05.72.
The 4x400-meter relay team of Silver, Johnson, Reiser, and Richardson won with a time of 3:34.41.
Kerion Wilson placed second in triple jump with a mark of 41-feet, 2.25-inches and sophomore Christian Homer took third with a jump of 40-feet, 7-inches.
The 4x100-meter relay team of freshman Tarik Jones, Coleman, Keiron Wilson, and Taylor placed second in 43.89 seconds.
Senior John Geniti placed third in the pole vault with a jump of 12-feet, 7.5-inches. Senior Jack McBride placed 10th with a mark of 10-feet, 8-inches.
Taylor and Codrington tied for sixth in the high jump with a mark of 5-feet, 4.5-inches.
Chris Wilson placed 15th in the javelin with a throw of 120-feet while Conklin threw 117-feet, 1-inch to place 18th.
Arensmeyer took 15th in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:07.27.
The Green Terror begin competition in the Centennial Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Friday, May 3 at Muhlenberg.
