BALTIMORE, Md. - McDaniel College men's track & field Senior Chett Brunner to second in shot put and discus and moved to fourth in program history in shot put.
The Green Terror placed fifth of 17 teams with 54 points. Johns Hopkins won their home meet with 134.5 points.
Brunner placed second in the shot put with a throw of 49-3. This moves him to fourth in program history. Freshman Jacob Gibson placed 17th with a throw of 32-5. Brunner also placed second in the discus with a throw of 135-9. Junior Jacob Graham threw 117-2 to place 12th. Senior Jake Conklin placed 14th with a throw of 111-5.
Senior Tyren Proctor ran 15.45 to win the 110 meter hurdles. Senior Kyle Hubbard placed ninth running 16.63. Freshman Roman Arensmeyer ran 17.36 to place 13th.
The 4x400 team of Sophomore Jack Reiser, Junior Anders Madsen, Freshman Jerian Batty, and Senior Tyler Richardson placed second with a time of 3:30.14.
Junior Oral-Anthony Coleman placed third in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.88. Freshman Tarik Jones ran 11.63 to place 30th. Freshman Josh Codrington placed 38th running 11.83.
Junior Keiron Wilson placed sixth in the high jump with a mark of 5-10.75. Sophomore Christian Taylor jumped 5-8.75 to place 12th. Keiron Wilson also placed sixth in the triple jump with a mark of 43-8.50. Sophomore Christian Homer jumped 42-2 to place ninth. Taylor jumped 39-1.25 to place 13th.
Coleman placed seventh in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.45. Codrington ran 24.08 to place 39th. Freshman Braylon Johnson ran 24.30 to place 42nd. Senior Kyle Silver placed 44th running 24.39.
Senior John Geniti placed eighth in the pole vault with a jump of 12-9.50. Senior Jack McBride jumped 10-4 to place 13th.
Hubbard ran eighth in the 400 meter hurdles with a time 60.44. Arensmeyer placed 22nd running 69.67.
The 4x100 team of Jones, Coleman, Hubbard, and Proctor ran 44.43 to place eighth.
Reiser ran 1:57.86 to place 12th in the 800 meter run. This moves him to ninth in program history. Madsen placed 22nd running 2:00.20. Richardson ran 2:02.58 to place 30th. Sophomore Jack Sears ran 2:15.17 to place 48th. Sophomore Simon Greenberg ran 2:28.77 to place 56th.
Homer placed tenth in the long jump with a mark of 20-00.25. Taylor jumped 19-9.50 to place 13th. Keiron Wilson placed 15th with a jump of 19-3.50.
Senior Nick Raumann placed 11th in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 10:30.01.
Conklin placed 12th in the javelin with a throw of 125-8. Freshman Chris Wilson threw 116-11 to place 14th. Freshman Jamey Travers threw 96-8 to place 20th.
Sears placed 15th in the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:05.56. Junior Sean Irwin ran 4:35.36 to place 44th. Freshman Fabrizzio Verano Valderrama ran 4:47.65 to place 49th. Junior Joc Baldacci ran 4:56.74 to place 51st.
Batty ran 54.31 in the 400 meter dash to place 28th. Senior Braden Fink ran 54.92 to place 32nd. Johnson followed in 33rd running 55.03.
On Friday the hammer throwers went to the Mason-Dixon Invitational at Gettysburg College. Graham threw 139-9 to place third. This is the third best performance in program history, with Graham holding three of the top ten spots. Conklin threw 106-5 to place 12th, this improves his tenth all time mark. Sophomore AJ Iglesias threw 99-2 to place 14th. Gibson placed 16th with his throw 97-10. Travers threw 97-4 to place 17th.
The Green Terror will be back in action Saturday April 27th, for the Blue-Jay Tune-Up hosted by Elizabethtown College.
