TOWSON, Md. - McDaniel College men's track and field senior Tyren Proctor led with a second all-time mark in the 110 hurdles at the Towson Invitational hosted by Towson University.
There were no team scores.
Proctor placed second in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.83. This moves him to second in program history, Proctor passes McDaniel Hall of Fame member Steve Wilson who was an All-American in this event in 1974. Senior Kyle Hubbard placed tenth with a time of 17.00. Freshman Roman Arensmeyer placed 16th with a time of 18.03.
Sophomore Jack Sears placed third in the 5000 meter run with a time of 15:56.65. Senior Nick Raumann followed in fifth with a time of 16:00.08.
The 4x100 meter relay team of Proctor, Junior Oral-Anthony Coleman, Freshman Tarik Jones, and Junior Alex Brown placed third with a time of 42.98.
Sears placed fourth in the 1500 running a time of 4:09.27. Junior Anders Madsen ran 4:14.05 to finish ninth. Raumann finished 12th with a time of 4:16.63. Junior Sean Irwin finished 27th with a time of 4:39.85. Freshman Fabrizzio Verano Valderrama ran 4:54.92 to finish 33rd. Junior Joc Baldacci ran 5:03.79 and finished 37th.
Senior Chett Brunner took fourth in the discus with a personal best throw of 141-7, this improves his tenth all time program ranking. Senior Jake Conklin placed 15th with a mark of 111-7. Sophomore AJ Iglesias placed 19th, throwing 99-1. Conklin also placed seventh in the javelin throw with a distance of 120-4.
Brunner also placed fourth in the shot put with his throw of 47-7.25. Sophomore Jayden Rodwell threw 39-2.50 to place tenth. Freshman Jacob Gibson placed 17th, throwing 32-0.75.
Senior John Geniti took fifth in pole vault with a mark of 12-1.50. Senior Jack McBride jumped 10-2 to place ninth.
Hubbard finished sixth in the 400 meter hurdles running a time of 58.69. Proctor placed tenth with a time of 1:01.40. Brown ran 1:02.59, finishing 14th. Arensmeyer finished 17th running 1:07.55.
Junior Keiron Wilson placed seventh in the high jump with a height of 5-10.75. Brown finished ninth, jumping 5-7. Sophomore Christian Taylor jumped 5-5 to place 11th. Brown took seventh in the long jump with a mark of 21-2.50. Keiron Wilson placed 13th with a mark of 19-9.75. Sophomore Christian Homer placed 16th with a jump of 19-1.25. Keiron Wilson also placed seventh in the triple jump with a mark of 42-11.75. Taylor placed 12th, jumping 41-7.75. Homer jumped 40-11.75 to place 13th.
The 4x400 meter relay team of Sophomore Jack Reiser, Freshman Jerian Batty, Coleman, and Senior Tyler Richardson placed eight with a time of 3:40.42.
Coleman placed ninth in the 100 meter dash running a time of 10.90, this improves his third all-time program ranks. Jones placed 39th with a time of 11.72. Freshman Joshua Codrington placed 46th with a time of 12.08. Senior DaVaughn Joyner ran 12.16 to finish 49th. Freshman Chris Wilson followed in 50th with a time of 12.66.
Reiser ran 2:02.93 in the 800 to finish tenth. Batty placed 17th with a time of 2:07.86. Sophomore Simon Greenberg placed 35th with a time of 2:31.78.
Junior Jacob Graham placed 12th in the hammer throw with a mark of 129-2. Gibson placed 19th throwing 101-0.
Coleman placed 18th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.70. Senior Kyle Silver placed 45th running 24.05, Jones followed in 46th running 24.22. Freshman Braylon Johnson placed 50th running 24.64. Codrington ran 25.28 in 53rd, Joyner ran 25.78 to placed 57th, and Chris Wilson placed 58th running 25.79.
Richardson placed 24th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 53.89. Johnson ran 55.45 to finish 31st. Senior Braden Fink ran 56.59 to finish 36th.
The Green Terror will be back in action Saturday April 6th for the Bison Classic hosted by Gallaudet University.
