Leone, Mullen Set Top-10 Program Records at Final Qualifier

WINCHESTER, Va. - McDaniel College women's track & field freshman Sophia Leone tied the program record in the pole vault at the South Region Final Qualifier hosted by Shenandoah Saturday.

There were no team scores.

Leone finished sixth in the pole vault, tying the program record with a mark of 3.01 meters. She tied the record set by freshman Zelda Hirsch last week at the 2024 Centennial Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships.

Meanwhile, graduate student Bailey Mullen placed second in the 800 meters with a time of 2:27.36, moving her into fourth all-time in program history.

With the indoor season concluded, McDaniel will open the outdoor season on Friday, March 29 at the Towson Spring Open hosted by Towson University.
