VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Graduate student
Bailey Mullen posted two program top-10 marks to lead the McDaniel College women's indoor track & field team at the Richard Drake Invitational hosted by Virginia Wesleyan on Sunday.
The Green Terror placed seventh out of 10 teams with a total of 33.5 points. Christopher Newport finished first with 101.5 points.
Mullen, who led the team in scoring with 14 points, placed second in the 3,000 meters with a time of 10:43.06 to move into fifth in program history. She also placed third in the mile to move into third in program history with a time of 5:22.98.
Senior
Katie Morgan placed third in the 400 meters with a personal-best time of 1:00.24. Her time placed her third in program history. Sophomore
Anna Rando placed 16th with a time of 1:04.81.
Rando placed sixth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 10.45 seconds.
Senior
Angel Bidgell took third in the long jump with a distance of 5.05 meters before placing fifth in the high jump with a personal-best mark of 1.47 meters. She also placed eighth in the 200 meters with a time of 27.04 seconds to move into seventh in program history. Morgan followed her in ninth-place with a time of 27.09 seconds.
In the 60-meter dash, Bidgell placed ninth with a time of 8.50 seconds, just ahead of Rando who finished in 8.53 seconds.
McDaniel returns to action in just five days at the Blue & White Invitational hosted by Franklin & Marshall on Friday, Feb. 9.
