LANCASTER, Pa. - Senior Katie Morgan broke her own school record in the 400 meters to lead the McDaniel College women's track & field team at the 2024 Centennial Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship at Franklin & Marshall Sunday.
The Green Terror placed seventh out of 10 teams scoring 36 points. Johns Hopkins won its 13th consecutive title with 311 points.
Morgan bested her own 400-meter record which she just set last weekend. She finished fourth, just missing the medal stand with a time of 59.26 seconds.
The 4x400-meter relay team of Morgan, sophomore Anna Rando, sophomore Piper Nagaraj, and senior Angel Bidgell placed sixth with a time of 4:16.98, the fifth-fastest time in program history.
Individually, Rando placed seventh in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 10.13 seconds.
Morgan placed eighth in the 200 meters with a time of 26.92 seconds while Rando finished 12th in 27.76 seconds.
Graduate student Bailey Mullen placed ninth in the 3,000 meters with a time of 10:38.77 which is the fourth-fastest time in program history. She also placed 10th in the mile with a time of 5:19.02.
Sophomore Ameerah Johnson placed 13th in shot put with a throw of 10.00 meters and sophomore Taylor Pinthiere placed 15th in the long jump with a mark of 4.66 meters.
Nagaraj placed 20th in the 800 meters with a personal-best time of 2:35.03.
McDaniel returns to action next Saturday, March 2 for the South Region Final Qualifier at Shenandoah.
