LANCASTER, Pa. - Graduate student Bailey Mullen won the 5,000 meters to lead the McDaniel College women's indoor track & field team at the Mini Dip Invitational hosted by Franklin & Marshall on Saturday.
While there were no team scores, the Green Terror competed against five other Centennial Conference schools, including Franklin & Marshall, Dickinson, Gettysburg, and Muhlenberg.
Mullen posted a time of 18:37.36 to move into third place all-time in program history. Freshman Maya Colavito placed 15th with a time of 21:22.47.
The 4x200-meter relay team of senior Angel Bidgell, senior Katie Morgan, sophomore Anna Rando, and freshman Sophia Leone placed third with a time of 1:52.38.
Morgan took fourth in the 300-meter dash with a time of 43.67 seconds while Rando ran a time of 46.36 seconds to move into 10th in program history.
Bidgell placed seventh in the long jump with a mark of 4.82 meters while junior Taylor Pinthiere placed 19th at 4.11 meters. Bidgell also placed ninth in the high jump with a mark of 1.37 meters.
Bidgell took 21st in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.54 seconds with Rando finishing 26th in 8.62 seconds and Pinthiere 41st in 9.01 seconds.
In the pole vault, Leone and junior Zelda Hirsch tied for ninth with a jump of 2.88 meters while sophomore Sofia DelRosso-Freeman placed 13th with a jump of 2.58 meters.
Sophomore Piper Nagaraj placed 11th in the 600 meters in 1:55.73 to move into sixth in program history. Rando placed 11 in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 10.42 seconds.
Sophomore Ameerah Johnson placed 17th in the shot put with a throw of 9.98 meters and sophomore Kate Principio placed 34th in the weight throw with a throw of 9.23 meters, moving her into fourth in program history in the event.
McDaniel returns to action next Sunday, Feb. 4 at the Richard Drake Invitational hosted by Virginia Wesleyan.
