LANCASTER, Pa. - Graduate student Bailey Mullen won two events to lead the McDaniel College women's indoor track & field team at the Coach I Open hosted by Franklin & Marshall Saturday.
Mullen won the mile with a time of 5:28.89 and the 3,000 meters with a mark of 11:01.78. Freshman Maya Colavito finished seventh in the mile and 12th in the 3,000. Sophomore Abby Warner placed 13th in the mile.
Senior Katie Morgan also posted an individual win for the Green Terror, finishing first in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:03.21.
Senior Angel Bidgell placed second in the long jump with a mark of 4.92 meters while also placing sixth in the high jump with a personal best jump of 1.45 meters. Sophomore Elyssa Greene placed ninth in the triple jump with a mark of 8.59 meters.
Sophomore Piper Nagaraj placed second in the 800 meters with a time of 2:44.48 while junior Emily Paulson followed in third with a time of 3:06.80.
Freshman Sophia Leone and junior Zelda Hirsch both had personal bests in the pole vault to finish fourth with a mark of 2.88 meters. Sophomore Sofia DelRosso-Freeman placed sixth with at 2.58 meters and sophomore Kate Principio placed seventh at 1.98 meters.
Senior Mikayla Smith placed seventh in the weight throw with a personal-best throw of 9.74 meters while Principio placed eighth with a mark of 8.67 meters.
The 4x400-meter relay team of Morgan, Mullen, Colavito and sophomore Anna Rando placed seventh in a time of 4:48.53.
Bidgell placed 10th in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.48 seconds. Rando placed 10th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 28.56 seconds.
Senior Audrey Perrin posted a personal best in the shot put.
McDaniel returns to Franklin & Marshall next Saturday, Jan. 27 for the Mini-Dip Invitational.
