WESTMINSTER, Md. - The Green Terror celebrated Senior Day with a double header against Ursinus. In the first game, the Bears jumped out early and relied on their starting pitcher to win 7-5.
Ryan Kelly held Ursinus hitless through the first four innings of game two, and senior
Hunter Kelly hit his first career home run to split the series.
Ursinus 7, McDaniel 5
Ryan Martino got the start on Senior Day for McDaniel and delivered by putting down the first six batters he faced including two strikeouts. The Bears did strike first with three runs in the top of the third inning. McDaniel responded in the bottom half of the inning. Senior
Billy Wheatley led off the inning with a bunt single to third base.
Tyler Yohn followed that up with a double to left field. With runners on second and third
Jake Smith laced a double into the gap scoring both
Wheatley and
Yohn.
Tom Snipes hit a solo shot over the right field fence in the fourth inning for the Bears to lead 4-2. In the bottom of the fifth inning, The Green Terror scored two more runs to tie the game at four-all.
In the eighth inning, Ursinus retook the lead with three runs. Freshman
Ben Davis opened the next inning with a double, then scored on a sacrifice fly from
Austin Goudeaux, but McDaniel could not overcome the two-run deficit and fell 7-5.

Ryan Kelly stepped on the mound to begin game two, and pitched a no-hitter over the first four innings. The Green Terror got on the board in the bottom of the first with an RBI from
Goudeaux.
Left fielder
Jake Smith led off the third inning with a single to left center.
Joey Hubinger followed that up with a double down the line
Connor Uhrig came up to the plate with runners on second and third. He laced a single into left center scoring both runners to build the Green Terror lead.
Hunter Darke came into the game and held Ursinus to one run in his inning of work. Leading 5-1, senior
Hunter Kelly came to bat in the bottom of the seventh inning and connected on a deep shot over the left field fence for his first collegiate home run.
Senior
Ryan Gibbons pitched the final two innings for McDaniel and locked down the Bears offense including a perfect ninth inning facing just three batters.
McDaniel returns to action against Washington College. Date and time of the game still needs to be determined.
