LANCASTER, Pa. - The McDaniel College women's indoor track & field team had two personal bests on the first day of the 2023 Centennial Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Franklin & Marshall.
The Green Terror earned 12 points on the opening day of the conference meet and currently sit in ninth place, just 6.5 behind the host Diplomats.
Senior Renee Dupre led the team with a fifth-place in the pentathlon. She earned the most points in the 60-meter hurdles with 609 and had personal bests in long jump with (4.67m) to finish second and the 800 meters with a time of 2:55.53. She finished the event with a total of 2,338 points.
Dupre's performance ranked her fourth in program history. She also competed in 60-meter hurdles.
Senior Bailey Mullen finished sixth in the 5,000 meters with a personal-best time of 18:53.32 to move into fourth in program history.
The 4x200m relay of senior Gabby Collins, junior Angel Bidgell, freshman Anna Rando, and junior Katie Morgan placed fifth in 1:48.67 to rank fourth in program history.
The distance medley relay of Mullen, junior Yeseniah Ortiz, senior Megan O'Neill, and freshman Piper Nagaraj rounded out the team's scoring on the first day by placing eighth in a time of 13:26.37, a mark that ranks seventh in program history.
The 4x800-meter relay team of O'Neill, Nagaraj, junior Ashley Siebenhaar, and freshman Anna Kale finished 10th with a time of 10:49.82.
Competition on the second and final day of the 2023 Centennial Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships gets underway at 11 a.m.
