Hood swept three tightly-contested doubles matches to key an 8-1 win over McDaniel.

THE LEADERS
• Rachel Smith (Hanover, Pa./Southwestern) led the Green Terror with a three-set win at No. 3 singles. After dropping the opening set 6-1, she edged out a 7-6 win in the second set with a 7-4 victory in the tiebreaker. In a super-tiebreaker third set, Smith prevailed, 10-6.

FOR THE FOES
• Shea Jakubowski led the Blazers as one of five double winners. She and Kim Castellano won third doubles, 8-4. Jakubowski then notched a 6-1, 6-1 win at sixth singles. Castellano rounded out her 2-0 day with a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 5 singles.
