McDaniel opened up a 19-point lead in the second half before thwarting an attempted rally by Christendom for a 76-66 victory.
THE LEADERS
• Mike Wallace (Wilmington, Del./Salesianum School) led the Green Terror with 19 points to go with four rebounds and three assists.
• Charles Contee (Huntingtown, Md./Huntingtown) added 16 points off the bench.

• Andrew Heisler led the Crusaders with 21 points and seven rebounds.
• John Paul Vander Woude added 19 points, including hitting five 3-pointers, and six rebounds.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• John Paul Vander Woude and Kaelen Kanealey (Rochester, N.Y./Irondequoit) traded 3-pointers to open the game before Josh Sproul (Princess Anne, Md./Washington Academy) and Peter Ethridge exchanged jumpers to keep the game deadlocked at 5-all just 2:25 into the game. Tied at 7-all, Chris McAboy (Martinsburg, W.Va./St. Maria Goretti [Md.]) drained a 3-pointer from the top of the arc with 13:07 to play, sparking an 8-0 run over the next 89 seconds. Two Andrew Heisler free throws and a Connor Lennon jumper closed the margin to four. McDaniel stretched the lead to 10 on two occasions en route to a 32-25 halftime lead.
• Owen Kennedy hit a short jumper on the opening possession of the second half to make it a five-point game but a Mike Wallace jumper ignited a 10-0 run that pushed the lead to 15 with 15:21 remaining. Wallace had four points during the stretch while Carter Truby (Sykesville, Md./Century) contributed six. The lead eventually expanded to 60-41 on a Charles Contee layup on the break. Trailing 62-43, Vander Woude drilled back-to-back 3-pointers to spark an 14-2 run over just a 2-minute, 19-second stretch. Two Wallace free throws momentarily halted the momentum and made it a 66-57 game with 2:53 remaining. Another Vander Woude trey closed the margin to 68-62 with 2:00 to play. The Green Terror, however, went 6-for-6 from the line in the final minute to secure the victory.
THE INSIDE STORY
• McDaniel made it two wins in two days with the victory and three straight wins overall.
• The Green Terror canned seven first-half triples before the Crusaders responded with eight 3-pointers in the second half.
• Josh Sproul finished with 12 points while Carter Truby added 11. Sproul also grabbed a game-high eight rebounds.
