THE SKINNY
McDaniel notched five new entries into the all-time record book and two new Centennial Conference (CC)-qualifying marks at the Frank Colden Invitational hosted by Ursinus.
THE LEADERS
• Renee Dupre (Hagerstown, Md./Smithsburg) led the Green Terror with a ninth-place finish in the pentathlon, posting a personal-best point total of 2,136 points. The mark ranks sixth in program history. In the five-event sequence, she cleared 1.43 meters in the high jump to hit an individual CC-qualifying height in the event and turn in a mark that ranks seventh in program history. She was fourth overall in the field, garnering 544 points. her best point total event came in the 60 hurdles with a time of 10.64 seconds for 597 points.
• Gabby Collins (Indian Head, Md./North Point) recorded the top individual finish of the day with a fifth-place showing in the 60 with a CC-quaifying time of 8.41 seconds in the finals. In the prelims, she turned in a time of 7.86 seconds, which ranks third in program history and is sixth on the all-time performance list.
• Rachel Dixon (Crofton, Md./Arundel) added an 11th-place finish in the 60 with a CC-qualifying time of 8.16 seconds. In the prelims, she qualified fifth with a time of 8.16 seconds, which ranks seventh all-time.
• Sarah Case (Frederick, Md./Oakdale) placed sixth in the shot put with a CC-qualifying mark of 11.29m. The mark is tied for ninth on the program's all-time performance list.
• Collins, Katie Morgan (Chesapeake, Md./Caravel Academy), Angel Bidgell (Glen Burnie, Md./Old Mill), and Yeseniah Ortiz (Glassboro, N.J./Delsea Regional) combined to finish third in the 4x200-meter relay with a time of 1:51.34, which ranks tied for ninth in program history.
• The 4x400-meter relay of Morgan, Collins, Ortiz, and Dixon was also third with a season-best time of 4:26.74.
FOR THE FOES
• It was a non-scoring meet.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Individually, Katie Morgan placed seventh in the 400 with a conference-qualifying time of 1:02.96.
• Angel Bidgell hit the conference-qualifying mark in both the 60 (8.71 seconds) and 200 (28.35), placing 16th and 12th, respectively.
• Yeseniah Ortiz also hit the CC mark in the 200 with a 17th-place finish and time of 28.70 seconds.
• Jasmine Porter (Clinton, Md./Friendly) placed 23th in the 60, hitting the CC standard for the first time with a mark of 9.04 seconds. She was also 30th in the 200 (30.84 seconds).
THE INSIDE STORY
• Shannon Short (Waldorf, Md./North Point) finished 26th in the 800 with a personal-best time of 2:38.84.
• Bailey Mullen (Baltimore, Md./Catholic High School of Baltimore) placed 29th in the 800 with a personal-best time of 2:40.08.
• Ashley Siebenhaar (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) crossed 28th in the mile with a personal-best time of 6:05.20.
• Anna Persick (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) was 33rd in the mile (6:13.25) and 40th in the 800 (2:52.59). Both times were personal-best marks.
• Megan O'Neill was 27th in the 400 (1:11.72).
• Skylar Blackbull placed 39th in the shot put (6.67 meters).
• The 4x200 B-relay of Jasmine Porter, Renee Dupre, O'Neill, and Rachel Dixon were 9th with a time of 2:01.17.
• The 4x400 B-relay of Short, Mullen, O'Neill, and Siebenhaar placed 12th with a time of 4:44.48.
