THE SKINNY
Six different athletes post season-best times to lead McDaniel at the Kenneth Giles Invitational hosted by Norfolk State at Virginia Beach Sports Center.
THE LEADERS
• Katie Morgan (Chesapeake City, Md./Caravel Academy) led the Green Terror, placing 10th in the 400 with a time of 1:01.56. The mark ranks fifth in program history and is the sixth-fastest performance. She was also 38th in the 200 with a time of 27.46 seconds.
• Angel Bidgell (Glen Burnie, Md./Old Mill) finished 39th in the 200 meters with a time of 27.50 seconds, which ranks ninth in program history. She also posted a personal-best time of 8.53 seconds to place 25th in the 60.
• Morgan, Gabby Collins (Indian Head, Md./North Point), Yeseniah Ortiz (Glassboro, N.J./Delsea Regional) Rachel Dixon (Crofton, Md./Arundel) combined to place 10th in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4;20.46, which ranks 10th in program history.
FOR THE FOES:
• It was a non-scoring meet.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Shannon Short (Waldorf, Md./North Point) posted a personal-best time of 2:32.47 to place 13th in the 800.
• Bailey Mullen (Baltimore, Md./Catholic High School of Baltimore) finished 14th in the 800 with a personal-best time of 2:33.53.
• Yeseniah Ortiz was 19th in the 400 with a personal-best time of 1:05.12. She was also 43rd in the 200 with a time of 28.68 seconds.
• Gabby Collins finished 24th in the 60 with a time of 8.40 seconds. She was also 40th in the 200 with a season-best time of 27.78 seconds.
• Rachel Dixon placed 26th in the 60 (8.69 seconds) and 44th in the 200 (28.95).
• Sarah Case (Frederick, Md./Oakdale) finished 18th in the shot put with a throw of 10.99 meters.

• Every individual mark by Green Terror athletes hit the Centennial Conference-qualifying standard for that event.
