THE SKINNY
McDaniel notched a pair of top-10 all-time marks in its return to action after eight weeks without competition, competing at the Mini-Dip Invitational hosted by Franklin & Marshall.
THE LEADERS
• Katie Morgan (Chesapeake City, Md./Caravel Academy) finished third in the 500 with a time of 1:28.65. The mark ranks ninth in program history. She also led off the 4x400-meter relay that placed fifth with a season-best time of 4:31.19.
• Gabby Collins (Indian Head, Md./North Point), who anchored the 4x400-meter relay, was 10th in the 300 with a time of 46.73 seconds, which also ranks ninth in program history. She also placed 15th in the 60 with a Centennial Conference (CC)-qualifying time of 8.55 seconds.
FOR THE FOES:
• It was a non-scoring meet.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Sarah Case (Frederick, Md./Oakdale) placed third in the shot put with a CC-qualifying throw of 11.75 meters. The mark ranks as the second-best performance in program history to Case's record throw of 12.07 meters in December.
• Renee Dupre (Hagerstown, Md./Smithsburg High) finished 14th in the 60-meter hurdles to hit the CC-qualifying mark with a time of 10.70 seconds. She was also 26th in the 300 with a personal-best time of 52.47 seconds.
• Angel Bidgell (Glen Burnie, Md./Old Mill) placed 22th in the 60 with a conference-qualifying time of 8.66 seconds. She was also 16th in the 200 (29.07)
• Rachel Dixon (Crofton, Md./Arundel) and Yeseniah Ortiz (Glassboro, N.J./Delsea Regional) joined Morgan and Collins on the 4x400 relay that posted a time of 4:31.19 while Megan O'Neill (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll), Bailey Mullen (Baltimore, Md./Catholic High School of Baltimore), Ashley Siebenhaar (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park), and Dupre combined for a time of 4:56.56 to place 11th.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Yeseniah Ortiz finished 12th in the 300 meters with a personal-best time of 47.85 seconds.
• Bailey Mullen finished 29th in the mile with a personal-best time of 5:58.48.
• Ashley Siebenhaar placed 34th in the 800 meters with a personal-best time of 2:49.92.
• Anna Persick (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) was 39th in the 800 (2:53.23) and 43rd in the mile (6:19.53). Both were personal-best marks.
• Skylar Blackbull (Crownpoint, N.M./Rehoboth Christian) finished 42th in the shot put with a personal-best throw of 6.93 meters.
