THE REST OF THE STORY
• After Trevor Wall and Josh Arruda traded buckets in the opening 2:04, Sean Neylon drained a 3-pointer with 17:31 on the clock to give Ursinus a 5-2 edge. A Dragan Hornatko (Baltimore, Md./Glenelg Country Day School) 3-pointer with 13:51 remaining gave McDaniel a 9-7 edge before Marlin Wise evened the game 24 seconds later. A Charles Contee (Huntingtown, Md./Huntingtown) triple on the other end sparked a 7-1 run before Luke Trotta broke up a 4-minute, 42-second drought from the floor and make it a 16-13 game on a three-point play. After a Jaiden Jakubowski 3-pointer made it a 25-21 game with 4:35 to play, Josh Sproul responded with a 3-pointer of his own to ignite the 13-0 run to the break. Contee and Carter Truby tallied five points each during the run, which featured three of the Green Terror's six first-half 3-pointers.
• Five points from Truby in the first two minutes of the second half helped extend the lead to 45-25. After a quick 5-0 burst by Ursinus, the Green Terror got two free throws from Mike Wallace with 16:49 to play and the lead remained between 17 and 22 points until a Ryan Hughes three-point play with 5:26 to play trimmed the margin to 69-53. Matt McMahon drained a triple off a turnover in the backcourt to make it a 13-point game. However, the Green Terror secured the win with two driving layups each by Wallace and Sproul that stretched the lead back to 18 with 2:35 remaining.
