McDaniel posted a round of 338 to finish third at the Gettysburg Spring Invitational hosted at Quail Valley Golf Course.
THE LEADERS
• Ryan McGarry (North Easton, Mass./Oliver Ames) led the Green Terror with a round of 83, finishing tied for 11th place overall.
FOR THE FOES
• Gettysburg won the five-team tournament with a score of 302 – 21 strokes better than its B-Team, which was second.
• The Bullets had eight of the top nine finishers, led by Cameron Deiuliis' round of 73.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Ryan Bloomer (Hoosick Falls, N.Y./Hoosick Falls), Ben Diskin (Charlotte, N.C./Cannon School) and Joe Graceffa (Braintree, Mass./Braintree) tied for 14th overall with matching cards of 85.
• Mike Mandel (New Hartford, N.Y./New Hartford) was 18th after a round of 86.
• Playing as an individual, Evan Rutherford (Amherst, Mass./Amherst Regional) carded a round of 90 to place tied for 21st.
• Josh Marchand (Washington, D.C./Georgetown Day School) was 24th (91) while Ryan Niederpruem (Vero Beach, Fla./Saint Edward's) placed 26th with a score of 101 also as individuals.
