Biography
As a freshman, Rutherford made his debut at the McDaniel Spring Invitational at the Bridges Golf Club. At the McDaniel Shootout at Piney Branch Golf Club, Rutherford placed 19th overall in his A team debut.Â
As a sophomore Rutherford made his season debut as an individual at the Dickinson fall invitational, shooting 77. Rutherford also played his first 36-hole event at the Mason Dixon Fall Invitational, and the next day competing in the Lebanon Valley Fall Invitational placed 5th.Â
As a junior, Rutherford made his season debut as an individual at the E-Town Fall Invite placing T4 as an individual. At the Royal Lakes Fall Invitational, he shot his career best score, a 1 under 71 as an individual.Â
Before McDaniel: Rutherford was 2019 Western Massachusetts Player of the Year at Amherst Regional high school, as well as the 2019 D-1 Western Massachusetts State Champion. Rutherford was also 3 time all conference for Amherst Regional High School, as well as being the all time winningest golfer with 41 wins.Â
Personal: Rutherford was introduced to golf at 11 years old at Vitense Golfland in Madison, Wisconsin.
