McDaniel posted a round of 309 to finish second at the Gettysburg Spring Invitational hosted at Hanover Country Club.
THE LEADERS
• Ryan McGarry (North Easton, Mass./Oliver Ames) led the Green Terror with a round of 74, finishing tied for first but winning the individual medalist honors on the third handicap hole.
FOR THE FOES
• Gettysburg won the team title with a score of 304 with three of the top five finishers.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Ryan Bloomer (Hoosick Falls, N.Y./Hoosick Falls) posted a round of 76 to finish tied for fifth.
• Mike Mandel (New Hartford, N.Y./New Hartford) placed 14th overall with a season-low round of 79.
• Joe Graceffa (Braintree, Mass./Braintree) posted a round of 80 to place 18th.
• Ben Diskin (Charlotte, N.C./Cannon School) carded a round of 82 to place 21st.
• Playing as an individuals, Josh Marchand (Washington, D.C./Georgetown Day School) and Ryan Niederpruem (Vero Beach, Fla./Saint Edward's) each recorded rounds of 84 to tie for 25th place.
• Evan Rutherford (Amherst, Mass./Amherst Regional) rounded out the McDaniel players – also as individual – with a score of 88 to place 31st.
