McDaniel posted a round of 320 to place sixth at the Dickinson Spring Invitational hosted at Carlisle Barracks Golf Course.
THE LEADERS
• Ryan McGarry (North Easton, Mass./Oliver Ames) led the Green Terror with a round of 75, finishing tied for sixth place overall.
FOR THE FOES
• Southern Virginia won the eight-team tournament with a score of 300, edging Dickinson and Franklin & Marshall, which both fired 303 to tie for second place.
• The Red Devils' Peter Lown won the individual crown with a round of 67 – the only player to card a round under par.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Ryan Bloomer (Hoosick Falls, N.Y./Hoosick Falls) was 20th overall with a round of 79.
• Joe Graceffa (Braintree, Mass./Braintree) posted a round of 80 to place 23rd.
• Mike Mandel (New Hartford, N.Y./New Hartford) was 33rd, registering a score of 86.
• Ben Diskin (Charlotte, N.C./Cannon School) placed 36th with a round of 87.
• Playing as an individual, Josh Marchand (Washington, D.C./Georgetown Day School) recorded a round of 83 to place 29th.
• Evan Rutherford (Amherst, Mass./Amherst Regional) rounded out the McDaniel players – also as individual – matching Mandel's round of 86.
