THE SKINNY
McDaniel posted four top-three individual finishes and five all-time top-10 marks to open the season at the Diplomat Open hosted by Franklin & Marshall.
THE LEADERS
• Sarah Case (Frederick, Md./Oakdale) threw a program-record mark of 12.07 meters to finish third in the shot put. It was one of 13 Centennial Conference (CC)-qualifying marks hit by Green Terror athletes on the day.
• Katie Morgan (Chesapeake, Md./Caravel Academy) posted a pair of third-place finishes. She hit the conference qualifier and top-10 all-time marks in both the 200 (26.99 seconds) and 400 (1:02.28) in the process. The 200 time ranks fifth all-time while the 400 time is ninth.
• Shannon Short (Waldorf, Md./North Point) crossed third in the 1000 with a time of 3:20.09 – a time which ranks ninth in program history.
FOR THE FOES
• A total of 11 teams competed at the non-scoring meet.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Bailey Mullen (Baltimore, Md./Catholic High School of Baltimore) finished fifth in the 1000 with a time of 3:21.43, which ranks 10th in program history.
• Renee Dupre (Hagerstown, Md./Oakdale) finished ninth in the 60-meter hurdles with a CC-qualifying time of 10.49 seconds. She was also 15th in the long jump with a conference-qualifying mark of 4.25 meters. She also finished 26th in the shot put (6.87 meters).
• Gabby Collins (Indian Head, Md./North Point) placed 12th in the 60 with a CC-qualifying time of 8.37 seconds. She also hit the CC mark in the 200, placing ninth with a time of 27.82 seconds.
• Angel Bidgell (Glen Burnie, Md./Old Mill) hit the CC-qualifying standard in the 60 (18th, 8.56 seconds), 200 (17th, 28.41) and long jump (14th, 4.31 meters).
• Rachel Dixon (Crofton, Md./Arundel) posted CC-qualifying times in the 60 (8.65 seconds) and 200 (28.70), finishing 18th and 20th, respectively.
• Yeseniah Ortiz (Glassboro, N.J./Delsea Regional) was 19th in the 200 with a CC-qualifying time of 28.65 seconds.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Anna Persick crossed ninth in the 1000 with a personal-best time of 3:38.40.
• Jasmine Porter was 27th in the 200 (29.61 seconds).
• Skylar Blackbull finished 28th in the shot put (6.59 meters).
• Rachel Dixon's time of 28.70 seconds in the 200 was an indoor collegiate best.
• Renee Dupre's mark of 4.25 meters in the long jump was a personal best.
• The 4x800-meter relay finished eighth with a time of 11:14.84 while the 4x400 was fifth with a time of 4:26.74.
